Default Rocker shaft orientation

In the middle of a rocker arm assembly rebuild and while I was careful to layout everything in the order it was assembled the actual rocker shaft rolled and I can't recall which end is "up." For clarification- along the length of the shaft there are a series of oil holes to lube the rocker arms, do those holes point "up" or "down?" If they point "up" they line up better with the lubrication hole on the rocker arms but if they point "down" it applies oil pressure to the load bearing faces between the shaft and the arm. Thanks for any help.

I was able to find the answer on some other forums and Rover V8 rebuilder websites, the oil holes should point down and towards the pushrod side. Hopefully this will be useful to someone else in the future.
