Default Rogue Wire Plugs - What Are They?

Can anybody tell me what these two disconnected wires are? They're alongside the left side of my transmission. '04 Disco 2 V8.

Assuming you know your transfer case isn't bolted to the mounting brackets, yeah?

What?
I know. I'm working on removing the whole kit and caboodle to diagnose a leaking torque converter. Again. I replaced the front pump seal during a flexplate replacement but didn't pressure test the converter. It still leaked after installing it all the first time.
Thanks for being observant. It's sure to help me at some time.

Would it behoove me to get the sensor? Will it register anywhere? Maybe in the BCU to be accessed with an Ultragauge or ?

I believe it throws a dash light at overtemp. Don't know if all BCUs will support it though. Someone here will

Haha, OK cool. Ya never know and it seemed like enough of a low-risk, high-reward mention on the off-chance it helped.

My 2002 had the sensor installed but the plugs weren't connected, same as yours here. I connected them just because I like these being complete, but I don't think the sensor data is even used anywhere, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

TC Temp sensor will tie into the Transmission Temp Idiot light circuit.
