Default Roof / windshield leaks: what to use to stop the leaks

I inspected the exterior drip rail and see that the sealant is cracked on both edges...all the way around. Do you dig out the old sealer...or put a new layer over it to reseal the drip rail?

windshield sealant; water is definitely leaking past the outer lip of the rubber liner...pull it back and fill the interior? Use an adhesive on the underside of the liner to seal it to the roof?

sealant on the INSIDE of the windshield? If so....lord where?

Check out my couple of recent (ish) threads on this.

After lots of research I used:

Gutters and welds / windshield - 3M Urethane Seam sealer 08367 (I used black)
Sunroof top black plastic frame to car = Sikaflex 221 black (or white) - Adhesive and sealant

I'd say don't use something household like clear silicone or regular caulk, even though others have posted they've used it fine.
