No you dont have to pull the intake, there is a good write up on doing it without pulling it.

I recieved my new magnecore 8mm and put them on this afternoon in about 11/2 hrs. Took her out for a test drive and still misses. Stopped by Autozone and had the codes read. P1300, P0300, P0305, P0304, P0307. I only had P0305before, so I need to check the wire connection into the coil packs. Check it out tomorrow and post results.

Okay, I rechecked the ingition wires and all were right, so I replaced the plugs with the Bosch P2's as that is all the parts store had in stock. Presto! No more rough, missing engine and no more service engine soon light.

Thanks guys...now I can tackle the occasional 3 amigos.

After installing the wires and plugs the service engine light went away. I drove to the airport last Monday with no light, when I returned from my trip the light was back on and she ran poorly on the drive home. i had the codes pulled this afternoon and the same 3 are back-cylinders 3,4 and 7 along with P1300 and P0300. Aargh! What next?

Grussell.
Did you find out what was wrong? I have the same symptoms and codes. My scanner say the p1300 is the catalyst. It also smells like rotton eggs when idling.

I haven't had time to look into yet. I did recheck the plug wires to make sure they were routed correctly. I wonder if the coils could be on the blink.

I Put new 8mm magnecors and bosch fusions on yesterday and everything so far is running great. When I printed out the firing order for the coil pack, I had to look at it upside down to look at it correctly. But it makes me wonder how it ran so good and then it ran like crap so quickly.
First I changed the plugs and it didn`t make any differance, Then I did the wires and that was the trick.
Good luck with it!!!
