How do you spell JUNK,'Duralast"

As for the main issue, you are most likely getting your ECU wet.
D1's can't take water like a D2.

ok. well if my ecu is wet what do i do to fix it. also, how would my ecu react to when it is idling rough, i can gas it a few times or drive it for a minute and it then idles fine. i would think if water penetrated my ecu, it would need more time to dry out, and would not be affected by revving it. it is affected by blowing air or heat. and with the location of the ecu, how is pressure washing UNDER the vehicle going to reach above the fender well. I work on yachts, and have the ability to encase the ecu, does it need ventilation?

No the ECU does not need to breathe. They can be completely sealed and be just fine.
The only thing down low like that that I can think of is the crank sensor.

I suppose it could but I do not know for a fact.
Thinking out loud here...if it were to get wet I suppose it could send a bad signal to the ECU and mess with the timing.
Also check the inertia switch on the firewall, we had a guy a week? ago with rough run/hard start problems and his inertia switch was loose.

Open the hood, look on the pass side firewall and you will see a rubber button, that is your inertia switch reset button.
Have no idea how to check it.
Press it to reset it.
