Default the rover is gone!

my wife's D2 srs quit. over $1500 to replace. the power steering went out last month. 1K to repair. she has a volvo xc90 now. why couldn't rover just offer a similar 100,000 mile warranty? i would have an LR3 right now! she assures me i'll get an LR4 when i get back from afghanistan.

Whats wrong with the airbags?
Or are you talking about the SLS? The air ride suspension?

To bad you couldnt have worked on it yourself, power steering pump is $300 and a couple hours work.
Converting your SLS to springs is another $300.
The most common problem with the SRS light being on is a dirty contact inside the passenger seatbelt buckle.
That can be fixed for free.

i really meant srs. the airbags would not have deployed, the seat belt pretensioners would not have worked. the whole system was kaput. i tried every one of the fixes listed here. i reminded the wife that our jeep of 9years had no airbags but she wasn't hearing it. my 2 and 5 year olds in a car that the safety system went out on wasnt flying with her.

btw spike- i listen to marc driscoll from mars hill pretty regular. great guy.

I also understand what your wife was saying and I understand that it had to go.
Be safe in Afghanistan.

My oldest son just joined the Army.

mark driscoll is one of MY favorite speakers, however he is not affiliated with mars hill grand rapids, its a totally seperate church with different beliefs based in seattle washington. I listen to a little rob bell though and read a couple of his books. Great to see people on here know them both.

http://www.marshillchurch.org/ Mark Driscoll
http://www.marshill.org/ Rob Bell

See the difference lol
