Default Rover still down!!!

Ok so we have changed every sensor in the engine except the TPS and the Cam position. We changed out the tranny fluid and it was black. But we are still having SO much trouble with it. Still won't go faster than 11 mph and it is dieing more frequently now. One of my friends who is a mechanic said it could be a head gasket. could that possibly be the problem?? We used a real time scanner and no codes came up for engine or tranny. This is Brian's wife btw. He is currently at NTC training for pre- deployment. So please help me out! This the only vehicle we have right now and o have to keep catching rides to work. THANK YOU!!

Wild horse, We replaced ALL the sensors in the vehicle with new ones except for the TPS and the Cam position sensors. We tested those ones and they are working fine.

im trying to remember what the orriginal problems were... it idles fine, and revs fine in neutral, but wont rev up under a load? right? when it quits revving on you, does it feel like it just wont go any further, or like its sputtering out? you need to check two things, vacuum under a load, and fuel pressure and flow... did this all start shortly after the fuel pump was replaced?

Brian's wife-I hate to say it but you need a new transmission, take it from a guy who goes through 2 transmissions a year, my FedEx van does the exact same thing only I can go 40mph if I turn off overdrive, the engine will rev really high but I can at least finish my route.
The engine will rev fine in park or neutral, you can go 35 in reverse, if you put the trans in 1st you can go as fast as 1st will let you, 2nd gear, same thing, 3rd gear maybe 30-40mph and 4th (D) not fast at all.
Your trans fluid was black, you said that, your trans is toast which is a feat in its self as the ZF trans is virtually indestructible.
Have it towed to a shop and have it check out.
I have said this once already in his first post on this but maybe you will listen since you need to get it fixed.
