Default rubber hub covers crack (Admin please move to D1 section)

I bought a new hub cover from AB, it was REALLY stiff to get on and after a day it had already cracked. I don't think they're made of rubber like the original but something more stiff. Anyways, AB is sending me another one for free..anybody have a suggestion to soften it up? soak in something? heat in oven?

admin can you please move this thread to the D1 section. I just received the part in the mail and most people in the DII section probably have no idea what I'm talking about.

LOL...... You can try soaking them in brake fluid if there rubber?? Used to do that at the gocart track to soften tires. If not matbe try heating them somehow to soften them.
