Default Rubber on suspension coil springs

Should there be a rubber on top of the springs? What do you call them? How about the bottom part? Thanks

Hi, I have never come across any rubber mat or any form of rubber fitted to the head or foot of road springs as it would soon wear through. It's normally the spring against the fixed metal retaining cup. I may be wrong but that is my experience to date.

Rubber isolators on top, bottom part is the spring perch and should be steel. The rear isolator is just a basic ring whereas the front has 4 bolts built in it for the shock tower.

The rubber is there just to isolate noise, hence the name.
