if your fans are working and with a clear flow through the radiator you will see a temp drop with higher flow (raised rpms) more circulation of coolant through the system via faster wp. if that is not achieved, I'd bet on some junk in the radiator. sludge inside? corrosion inside? a bag of leaves between the ac and rad? I have had enough mud to clog up air flow

 

dusty and mud, apparently the 2 go well together. all clean on this rig- no mud, leaves, etc. in there. yeah, when I replaced the hoses and connections, there was white crud baked on the inside of where the bleed valve goes, so there is that. on the other hand, very consistent temp readings on the rad. am sort of guessing that it's either the rad or the wp, just don't want to throw money at the wrong one (or both).

 

maybe a particularly uniform build up in rad...? maybe. $212 and 45 minutes for new

fan clutch feel like it should? loud at cold start quites down? feel like stirring peanut butter? 1/4 rev. free spin? all that?

 

fan clutch just got replaced, works like a champ on startup and occasionally hear it when driving.
