Service engine soon has been on for two months, with MAS code. Suddenly, during the snow/ice storm in Portland, the SES light is gone!! Should I thank Putin ?? I guess my rover healed itself?? Or just some typical rover tricks??

 

Lol! They usually heal themselves. Sometimes. Haha! Took too long to fix, bulb broke!

Hook up an OBDII and look for pending codes.

Get the thing to Air Quality and smogged before the light comes back on.

 

My money is on the bulb behind the SES light burned out. does it come on during the bulb check with the key in position 1?

 

Have not noticed. I'll check. And as for smog test, I'm not due until May. I can only be 3 months out. Damn.

 

Just checked, and the light does come on at position #1 and then promptly goes away at start up. I am truly dodging a bullet here!! Thanx Putin!! And Donald Trump, too !!
