Is rustoleum a good choice for a hood blackout?

I suggest Black Satin bumper and trim paint. You can buy it in rattle can.

if you use a rattle can good tip is soak the can in some hot water shake well soak some more and keeps doing and it will keep even consistency and pressure.

I have decided against the vinyl because of cost and my inability to apply a basic sticker without bubbles. I am also worried about the heat from my engine affecting it if I decide to remove my hood liner. I like the rhinolining idea and I mentioned it about a year ago when I was going to do the same thing to my D2 on this forum and got mixed responses. I don't think it would look bad at all and am still thinking about doing it... For this rover however, I just want to keep it simple and cover up the horrible clear coat. Here is a pic of a rhinolined van that would look similar to my D2... I think it would work well.
