Default sags and bounces

Hello everyone, I;m new to this forum and have been searching to find answers for my 01' saggy and bouncy rear end. I have replaced both air bags in the past year, the back is down equally on both sides and only about half way, I've read a lot about the compressor, is there a way to way to check this to make sure it's functioning? thanks

do a search on the forum, there are losts of posts about this. you could have a leak in the line not just on the bag. use soap water and spray bottle to find possible leak. my DII had an issue with the electronics and would just not kick on every once in a while. I would have to turn the car off and disconnect the bat. and wait for about 5 min or so, when i started it up the bags were fine. I just got a OME kit....much easier

check your height sensors too. If you are still having problems, PM DiscoMike with your telephone #. He can walk you through some more troubleshooting.

Thank you, okdiscoguy, I may need to . I have decided to after reading so many posts to just replace the air bags and go with a lift kit, for the permanent solution. This is a great place for learning, I've come to realize I know very little!

I replaced my bags with a spring kit from Atlantic British. Affordable, and it was only a 45 min. job. I had the same problem with my 99'. I was able to check if the compressor was working by running wires from the battery and connecting them directly to the pump, it was working fine. I've had the springs in for three years with no problem, just a little rougher ride.

If you replace your SLS remember you need to pick a specific spring rating, don't just buy a kit. You could get any of 4 different springs from soft to HD and this can effect your ride as well as your overall hright. Also, if you haven't replaced your front coils or shocks, they will need to be done also.
Consider researching OME or RTE for their different springs, then just order the rear mounting plates and install the lift of your choice.
