Default SAI Code 1412 I've tried everything! I think!

Still getting 1412. My understanding this is a vacuum pressure fault on the drivers side of the vehicle. I have tried the following:

1) Checked to make sure the SAI blower is working. When cold its easy to tell that it works for about 90 seconds or so before cutting off. Sounds fine.

2) Checked every vacuum hose associated with SAI. Took on and back off.

3) Took blower off and replaced the filter (I used a lawn mower filter)

4) Replaced the SAI solenoid with the AB part

5) Took off the vacuum valve on the drivers side. Sucked through the rubber hose end and verified that it holds shut.

6) Sucked on the small vacuum valve connection and could here the diaphragm going up and down.

7) Used an entire bottle of carb cleaner on the SAI valve while off till nothing else black came out. It was really dirty!

And without fail........ P1412 again. Kicked tire and came in here to vent to you guys. What else could cause this cursed code!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sam

I think the 1412 is a vacuum leak and not a supply code BUUUT I found a huge problem on the supply side. I jumped the relay and realized that the supply hose did not snap back into place after reinstalling it on the pump and was leaking air big time. Could only really tell this with the car off and just the pump working. Crossing my fingers. If this does not work, I guess I am going to harbor freight and invest in a vacuum tester and go through the RAVE steps.

SAI is really a 4 letter word!

At some point I hope someone who has trouble shot the SAI via the Rave steps and can answer a few questions. I did a smoke test by pulling the vacuum line off the drivers side vacuum valve and blew smoke threw the line. Its smoke is pouring out of the solenoid. Only one of the solenoids ports seals the other one (coming out the top) is unsealed and blows smoke out the back of the solenoid when tested.

Is the solenoid itself supposed to be sealed at both ports? This is a brand new one from Atlantic British. If it is supposed to be sealed then I am a little surprised given that it is new. Anyone know the answer to this?

I tried to put all the engine codes from the Rave into http://enginecodemaster.com

to help out. As looking up codes is TEDIOUS.

Well, looks like your code hit:

Engine Code: P1412

Land Rover Engine Code: P1412 = SAI system fault (LH side) ‐ air delivery not reaching catalysts

Click to Process more Land Rover Engine Codes here

Whatever measures air delivery is not seeing air.

Thinking that the air delivery affects the O2 sensors and that when the SAI fan motor is running, the ECU is taking measurements.

I would make sure there are NO LEAKS in the collarbone behind the engine on the firewall and that all of this is feeding in fine.

one crack in any of the flex hose gas lines into the SAI injectors will negate the small air pressure and you'll get the code I bet.

I would use an inspection mirror and check all the SAI piping perfectly.

Here is my old video of the clean engine and it may show my SAI piping that worked (works) fine

Ok so I remember now.
Those ROUND valves on top need to open properly.
One of yours may be jammed.
Or I bet it is just not getting air from a leak in one of the connections from the collarbone.

Those hoses used were sort of foam like.
I would check the hoses from the collar bone to the SAI input.
