Default SAI pump turning on after sharp braking... intermitten

Every once in awhile, if I stop quicker then normal say for a quick yellow going red, while sitting still the pump will turn on and run... if i jerk forward with the gas it goes away. i was thinking loose wire or connector grounding itself turning the thing on for some reason... but everything looks ok. anyone else ever had this happen? its intermitten to, i cant really reproduce it, and it could not happen for a month or so, then it happens like 4 days in a row and always after comming to a complete stop. i would think decelerating slowly or tappin the breaks would set it off, but it only happens at a complete stop.

You may have air in your cooling system. That unit will come on when the temperature is sensed to be low.

I remember mine came on once and a while at a stop in Boulder CO after I first changed the heads.

I think it was due to the cooling system having air.

At any rate - that unit has a sensor in the lower part of the radiator that controls
the on / off temps.

If that sensor is uncovered it may come on.

OK and IF your radiator is plugged up
and it is winter...
You may not get enough hot coolant across that sensor and it is very cold out
so the temp goes down and
the unit comes on as the temps are low - and it is supposed to do that.
