Default SAI tube insulation

When I removed the SAI tubes from the cylinder heads during my recent head gasket replacement, the insulation on the tubes literally just fell off of the tubes. I re-installed them without anything on them, but was wondering if I should use some header wrap tape on them. Any other ideas?

Steve, mine is gone as well. No apparent side effects. Given the condition it was in prior to "falling" off, I can't imagine it was doing much anyway.

You could always wrap it w/ "header" exhaust wrap. Mine has been off for years. Not concerned.
