SAI tube is almost impossible to get out
In the middle (or should I say the "beginning") of replacing my wires and plugs (Magnecor 8MM and Bosch +4s) and I gotta tell you...
rebuilding the driveshaft was easier than trying to take out this SAI tube.
I slide it toward the driver/bank 1 side and move the cooling hoses and throttle cable over it... then move back toward passenger/bank 2 side, but there's not enough room to twist it so that the bent single-end side comes out.
Any tricks? In the meantime, about to pour some Scotch. Seriously.

Well, I got it out. 'Not looking forward to putting it back in though... that's for sure.
The "trick" was to slide it to driver side/bank 1, move the cooling hoses and throttle cable over the opposite end (just as the directions in the write up) then as you pull it back to passenger side/bank 2, somehow twist it up and over (toward your body) and slowly pull it out.
2 hours on this. I was so tempted to pull the IM by then.
The rest should be cake. (Famous last words.)

yeah - i know it can be done without having to remove it, but I'm leaning toward ordering an IM gasket and doing that as well.
Now, I just broke a spark plug and it's stuck in my socket. I should've used a bar or extension instead of just the spark plug socket with universal joint.
Fun.

Good luck!
