Default SAI... venting....

Argh. Replacing an SAI pipe is the most frustrating thing I've ever had to do. Just getting the old one off the heads is a major undertaking, it's like they welded it on there. I even had to cut it off on one side when it just would not break the nut loose from the head adapter. (and then I find out head adapters are $40 each)

So, what year Disco II 4.6L came without SAI?

Yeah, I looked at an '03 without SAI originally, but for a few more bucks and the addition of the locking diffs and resolution of the oil pump issues I decided I'd deal with the SAI. I do hate it though.

OK, so if I found a wrecked 03 without SAI I can grab the ECU and possibly BCU and be done with it. Good to know. Then I can deal with the performance heads going on, which don't have SAI ports.

Roverland.com might have the ECU you're looking for.
