Front axle venting ?

Hi.
Where is the hose venting the front axle supposed to end/fit to ?
Is it just open ended near the top of the brakes booster ?

What truck? On my D1 it terminates in an upsidedown U, near the brakes proportioing valve. I just extended mine up to just beneath the hood though.

Yes, there are 3 vent tubes at the fire wall, the diff, t/case and tranny.

My '01 D2 has what look like two U-shaped turned down of black plastic tubes, a pair on each side, just behind the headlights in a plastic clip. Are these not the breather tubes on a D2?
