Default Saudi Grill on eBay

I'm pretty shocked that this seller has it listed at $999, and then wants another $50 to ship it! Crazy.

I wish someone that has one of these grills would have it 3D scanned and upload the model files so folks could print their own.

There was a beat up disco for sale on Facebook Marketplace for 1.5k with that grill a few months ago. I almost bought it just for the grill. I regret not doing it.

Are these desirable? They are not attractive at all.

They offer better air flow to the radiator. Something all D2's can benefit from

I've seen some threads where people have made their own Saudi grills by cutting the original grill and then adding in black-painted gutter mesh from Home Depot. Looks pretty good.

I had the saudi grill from my 02 placed carefully in my shop. A friend stopped by while I was gone and dropped it... Shattered like a carton of eggs.... I still have it, but very upset it got ruined!

Would you consider gluing it back together and having it scanned? Post scan, it can be cleaned up and even improved/modified to fit 03-4 years. I bet a bunch of us here would chip-in on the scanning cost if we can get copies of the 3d models afterwards.

PS, send your friend that eBay link and tell him you can be compensated in beer and steak

Thats pretty cool. If I get my hands on a real one I was going to try making a mold of it, done some similar projects before with good results. I wouldn’t be able to get the mesh grill 100%, but the plastic frame would be a carbon copy. Someday.

How did you do the union jack background, I like that. I might do that on one of mine.
