Was looking at my truck today and saw something plugged into spot where obdII scanner hooks up. Pulled it out and it says silence and has one button on it. However, I still had check engine light come on before I started working on it. Any idea what it is?

 

Post a picture of it. Maybe a blutooth module. Don't know.

 

Here it is and also another added piece (I think) which was right in front of my fuse box under dash. (I found this as I was trying to get my interior lights working again. checked F20 it was good. hmmm)

The gold on the picture actually says "silence"
