Default Scratched rim

So.... today I did somthing that I was not suposed to be doing (talking on my cell while parking) not paying much attention to what I was doing and I scratched the passager front rim very badly, not a surface scratch but deep gauges. Is there a fix for this or I am looking at a replacement rim?

You could probably fill the scrapes and then paint the wheel. Which wheels do you have? You might be able to find a used one in pretty good shape. Also, some places sell reconditioned wheels, where someone else already fixed the scratches for you. They have them at rockauto.com sometimes.

They can be repaired, but cheap repair often stick out worse than the scratch. swap with the spare or get a second hand rim if youve still got the standard wheels.

There's lots of wheel fixer uppers or restorers out there. I for one use Kwik Silver. They usually charge about $130 per rim if it's gouged out badly. The rim comes back like new.
Dealers use their service instead of putting new rims on. If the rim is bent too much, it may not be repairable coz straightening it will crack it ( fatigued ).

For rims that are polished, it's a different story.

Thank you for the good information. I found a hurricane rim for $100 with shipping included.

I will be ordering it soon...I learned the lesson no more cell phone talking, it can get expensive...quick.
