I found a SD rack for my D1 that the seller is asking $600 for. It has some paint chips out of it but no major damage that I can see in the pictures. Do you guys think $600 is a good price for an SD rack? I really wasn't looking for a rack but if I can get a good deal on an SD I will just have to go for it anyway.

 

i've seen them for more, some for less

but not very often... if you want it, buy it as you may not have the opportunity to buy later

 

Thanks Tom, that was pretty much my thought on the matter. Just hope it is still available when I get paid Friday.

 

I waited 18 mths to find one, bid on a few on Ebay and eventually got one. I just paid £500 for mine here in the UK. Worth EVERY penny coz they look the nuts!!! and imo the ONLY racks that look right on both D1 and D2, yes there is more "usable" and cheaper ones, but they just dont look as good!!

The new SD racks that are coming back to the US are prepaid 1/2 before shipping and a price of $1900 .
If you can find a good used one go for it.

 

Buy it AK, and then when I am ready I will buy it from you.
You can have your rack and make some money too.

 

If it's available on Friday I will get it. Maybe earlier if i can swing it. I already contacted the seller and just waiting to hear back from them.

I definitely like the looks of the SD rack better than any other on the market, even with the factory rails. I'm not afraid of a little paint damage on the rack, it will match the scratches on rest of the truck.

Does anyone know of a good source for hi-lift and shovel mounts for the SD rack? I am really good with wiring but my fabrication skills are lacking, as are my tools for fabricating things like that.
