Default SE/SE7 Question

Will the rear jump seats from the SE7 fit the SE? If so is it a lot of work just to gain two more seats? Thanks for the help. D*

The hardest thing about installing rear jump seats is making sure you get everythinh you need. The only point where you'll really have to improvise is at the floor seat belt mounts. You'll have to drill a hole in the floor and secure the belts with nuts and bolts. I don't remember ever seeing the mounts with captive nuts on the underside of the floor on vehicles that were not equipped with jump seats from the factory.

You will have to remove everything from the cargo area to do the job correctly. Not the hardest job you'll do on your Rover but it is tedious and there are a lot of parts to install. You should be able to do the job in one long day.

Thanks. Since I have an SE7 I should have all that I need. I had forgotten about needing to anchor the seatbelts. D*

If you're going to do it with both trucks side by side, it's going to be very easy. I've sold a number of these complete conversion kits to customers who were thrilled to have the extra capacity.

Oh, I should have asked, your SE7 doesn't have rear A/C does it? If so, that may pose a bit of an issue using the left side jump seat in an SE.

The SE7 has been sitting for about three years with bad head gaskets and a few other issues. I just don't remember if it has rear air,I guess I better look. The SE needs a transmission so I'm considering using the SE7 as a donor since it has a good tranny. D*

I just did 2 installs in the last month. The captive nuts for the rear seatbelt mounts were there. I think there was tape over the holes.

The factory SE7 comes with a heavier-duty rear springs. Hope the attached will be useful.

I converted my SE to SE7. It is mostly gruntwork and nothing complex to install.

I'll need to see how important the wife thinks it is. I'm not afraid of grunt work mostly because I'm at that age that I grunt each time I bend over. D*
