Default Seat Adjustment on a Discovery?

A friend of mine just bought a Discovery and was alittle puzzled by the lack of adjustment in the front seats, I'm 5'10 and my knees are in the dash on both sides, is there a way to move the seats back further for better leg room?

The only way to get more leg room is to pull the seat rails off and move them back.

I'm 5'7 and no problem. But my passengers have since they are taller. The discos look big from outside but tight from inside. I even wonder about the SE7's additional seats at the back. I also have a Jeep Sport but seems to have more leg room and looks small compared to the Discos.

Ask your friend if all the seat switches work, if so, what he has is what he has.
I am 6'2 and don't have any problem with mine.

I am 6'4" and I have plenty of room. Maybe the seats are not going all the way back. The seat switch is on the side of the center console.
