Hello! I just bought my first Land Rover. I have a 99 Discovery Series ii. I bought it for super cheap and it runs beautifully but it does have some issues. I would have it no other way, i always need something to work on. Well here's one of the issues: the back of my passenger seat is stuck forward. The motor leans it further forward but will not recline. I have removed the seat and tried messing with the motors to no avail. I have now pulled apart some of the gear mechanism in an attempt to manually recline it but i still can't get it to lean back. How has this problem been solved in the past? Im not looking for a full fix of the seat, im just looking to get into a comfortable position and then leaving it. Here is a pic of what the gear looks like now. I tried spinning the gears with that yellow sprocket and i got the internal sprockets to turn but not the main gear.
Moderately dissected recline gear.
