Default Seat Upholstery

I am thinking that my drivers seat needs a refresh. I am going to check with some local upholstery shops, but wanted to get an idea of what people have done in the past. I want to get the side rip repaired and probably rebuild, replace the foam bolster.

Short of a lucky find at a salvage yard, any ideas? I could do the work myself, if there were a kit available.

Thanks for the thoughts.

For my old escalade ext I ordered a leather seat bottom cover and replaced it myself for 120$ (seems there are lower priced ones now) The color and perforation patterns matched perfectly and made the car look a bazillion times better... a ripped seat bottom when you first open a door makes a bad impression... now it looks great. Check with local shops if you cant find a match yourself online... they have more resources or can possibly make one.

The sources for our Disco seat upholstery are very limited. Here is one of the options mentioned in the past:

Get a passenger side seat bottom cushion (they rarely get used) from one of the breakers here or on facebook - Paul Grant, Will Tillerey, etc.

350$ for both sides? Nice... it'll make it look worth $2000 more lol

Even harder to find a match to the vinyl material in the S models... Might just have to upgrade to a leather seat bottom!

Thanks for the responses, I saw those re-covers, that would be beautiful if I were to re-do all of them.

I will try the seat bottom first. I need to vacuum under there anyway.

Do you have an Alpaca (light tan in '04) with brown piping pass seat bottom in good shape?

Thx!
