Default Secondary Air

Just had the 60K service done on my 03 Disco and have been reading that if you have secondary air..i.e..rear air, you should let a mechanic do this.. Is this because it is difficult to change the spark plug wires or is there something that I should have made sure this mechainc did when he did the service.

Secondary air makes it very tricky to change the plug wires.

DiscoMike on here is a retired service writer, follow the link to seee what he suggests for a 60K service or to anyone with a new to them Disco...

Dont get lost here, but secondary air and rear air are two totally different things. the cars equipped with secondary air ,LEV Equipped engines (low emissions vehicle)are just a little more difficult to work on, Rear Air refers to rear air conditioning , and a 60 k service really dosent require any different procedure except to inspect the vaccum connections and hoses.that are visual by simply glancing under the hood, no big deal.
