Does anyone have wisdom on getting the nut loosened? I have the pulley jammed with a pry bar and I’m tapping quite hard on my 36mm wrench. I’ve been soaking it in penetrating oil for a few hours. (P38 GEMS engine) Difficult to get a good shot.
Standing from the front it goes Counter Clockwise to remove. I've used a beefy 36mm open end and usually hit straight down with a sledge and it will break loose. Or the Snap On tool style where you hold the Waterpump Pulley bolts with one tool, and loosen with the 36MM wrench.
Got it. Clearly the “special wrench “ has way too much flex. Need a much beefier 36mm wrench, which I’ll have to buy for next time. I used a fairly beefy 12” crescent and a heavy hammer.
