Default Selector lever cable question - photos

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how to release the inner cable from selector lever without making too much damage? It seems stuck.

For future reference, spray some WD40 or some other similar stuff. Then, simultaneously, pull the cable out and use a flat screwdriver to release those 4 white plastic fasteners (second photo). Be careful cause they easily break.

A warm rag or blow dryer on low heater could help plastic is "less" brittle warm

I personally just crawl underneath & remove it from the transmission itself. Much stronger part to be messing with. Just mark it before removing it for any alignment issues later on.
