Selling my 04 disco
Well I had enough of the discos I have had it for 2 years now and it's been in the garage 3 times now. All the same **** cylinder misfires engine studers p1319 p300 etc all these stupid codes. This truck has had all maintenance done plugs 8 mm wires. Last year was the ignition coil plus other things. Now it's in the shop again to see what's up now My warranty is up soon and I am selling this piece of ****. I never seen anything more figity then these engines. Premium gas all the time they lack power and always something screwing up. Never again will I ever own one of these **** trucks and engines. I do like the ride and looks but that's it for me.
Wrong place to post this. needs to be moved to the proper section "labeled private for sale"??? Anyway you should not let a vehicle whip you so bad. Only a certain number of things that can cause a misfire not that hard to figure out. So what's your price?

You may as well put the miles, price location and all that up so that people here can evaluate if they want to buy your discovery or not.
There is craigslist.org too.
But tons of less than honest Nigerians and flakes in your locale.
Selling a used vehicle takes patience.
Is your Discovery using antifreeze?
Is the coolant level lowering?

I'm in Toronto Canada it has 120000 km no drop in antifreeze no leaks at all as its gone into the shop for oil pan gasket replacement etc. pictures of it will be up on kijiji this week asking 11500
In the shop 3 times in 24 months? Whats wrong with that?
Does not seem excessive to me, if it were brand new sure, but a 8 yr old car? Nope, perfectly normal.
Premium fuel has nothing to do with power output, zero-zip-zilch.
If you want a "drive it and forget it" car then buy a Toyota, Rovers are like super models, they love attention.

So whats to get so upset over with that?
I'm just fed up with the engine codes coming on every 6 months besides that I love the truck just not for me as I'm not really interested on working on it in my driveway rest of truck is awesome. There are a few selling around here for that price or even higher comes with winter tires and still has 5 k left on warranty. I'm not selling it for 8 gran. This is not a car that needs work this is turn key and go
No offense aginst a fellow forum member, but a fair warning to everyone else:
About a year ago a member from LRO offered me a deal for his 04 Disco.... long story short I lost $1300 and never heard from his *** again! Seeing how he is in Canada I could not do anything despite having a signed and notarized contract.
Now "this guy" is complaining about his warranty about to expire and all these issues with his truck AND hes asking for $11,500? - NO WAY!

I found my 2004 Disco SE locally. 130K. Has Trail 1 package (A-frame brush bar, rear ladder and front mounted AUX lights), cold climate package, newer all season tires and many service documents and original factory stickers - the sellers asking price is $4,900!!!! And yes the wheels need to be aligned and the check engine light is on but a heck of a deal nevertheless. I bet I could find a 2005 Range Rover for $11,5000..... or use that money towards a newer LR3 or LR4!
$11,500 is just way to much for a older Disco.
