Default Shaft and rear dif

Good afternoon,
After 410,000 glorious kilometres in my 2004 II I have noticed when accelerating/decelerating some quite heavy clunking from the vicinity of the rear dif, there seems to be quite a lot of play when turning by hand the shaft.
Quick fix or new secondhand rear dif needed ?
Many thanks in advance for any advice given.

Try greasing the rear drive shaft, as well as inspecting it
