Shakes When At A Complete Stop

Shakes When At A Complete Stop
Howdy – I currently own a ’03 Disco (SE - 144K) and it has started to shake when at a complete stop. I had this issue a couple of weeks back and fixed by replacing all four O2 sensors which took care of the shaking and the check engine light. Now, the shaking is back along with the check engine light back on and I think it’s something else. Perhaps the plug wires? I did change the spark plugs a couple months ago, but not the wires since I couldn’t figure out how to do it, any guidance?
P.S. This was my dream car back when I was a teen and right before I turned 31 (last September) I decided to purchase this vehicle. I knew Discos. are known for having issues going in with my purchase. I didn’t care, I love these SUVs, and they’re fun to drive!

Changing wires can be done from the topside without removing the manifold. I remember removing the IAC valve body and hoses, remove the wire loom from the harness on the firewall above the motor.
One wire at a time, take it off, put the new one on...
I remember bending an old flathead screwdriver for leverage to pop the plugs off the coil.
Caution in laying across the motor...plenty of plastic lines to crack and break off.
A little patience and it can be done.
Other guys will be asking what the codes were...might want to get them ready

You need a tune up, new plugs and wires, you already changed the plugs, but they might be bad already because you are running with bad plug wires.
Your O2 codes were because of the bad tune up, resetting the check engine light fooled the ECU for a short while, if its not back on yet your CEL will come back on, and prob throw O2 codes again.
Let it go long enough and you will also get random misfire codes.
Top of the page if help on replacing the plug wires.

First don't guess, if you have a check engine light on, get the codes read and then fix it.
As mentioned above it could be something as simple as the need for a tune up along with a new set of 8 mm silicone wires.
Also, a bad tune up is not the usual reason for failing issues, mileage, contamination of coolant or oil are the main reasons.
Also big on the list for engine shakes can be a cracked motor mount, especially on the drivers side.
