Many if not all Landrover parts are made wherever they can get the cheapest prices for parts. The difference is some pass stringent QA/QC whereas many aftermarket parts do not. Don't be fooled by the German name or packaging or the LR name and packaging as many are made in China or the far east. It's reminiscent of the computer industry where Japanese was thought to be rubbish whereas today Japanese manufactured goods are revered and expensive.

Many enthusiasts assume if it's genuine OEM quality it must be good so they pay twice the going price to later find out the part was made in eastern europe, China or the far east. Please don't become a victim of the 'quality BS' be it US, UK or German, if it looks too cheap or it looks shoddy don't buy it even if it has a 'well known' name on the box.
