Default Shift Indicator Fix?

My indicator works but the previous owner must have broke the inner sliding section. Is there a fix for that or will I need to get an entire shift indictor section?

There is a shift tape replacement, but I haven't seen one in a while. www.roverconnection.com used to have them. Might be dealer or salvage only on this one. If you pull the shift handle and transfer handle, you can pull the center console and get to the shifter assembly. The tape wraps around the shifter to display the gear selection. There is a rind and plastic ball that attaches to the shifter handle.

Best bet is to find someone parting one out that still has a good one. I found a guy that just threw it in with some other parts.

They must no longer have the part but it appears to be a helpful site and have decent prices.
