Default Shift Kit/Full Manual Valve Body for ZF trans?

Anybody know if anybody makes one? I've come to the conclusion... a manual swap would be hard. Ok, I knew that already, but still. I'm curious if anyone has any ideas on this? Would it be possible for a transmission shop to put something together if nobody actually makes a kit? I've read something about shims or heavier springs. Even if it wasn't full manual I'd be fine with that, though full manual control would be nice. The ZF is just kinda... mushy. Slushy. It's a slush box after all.

Anyway, I'd love to hear ideas on ANY possibilities. I'll continue to research and hopefully someone here will throw out something I haven't thought of or run across as you all usually do.

Thanks!

so you want a complete custom turbo setup on your truck but following the rave manual to install an r380 is too hard?

Maybe you could use the ashcroft control and program it to shift the way you prefer and tie the output shaft speed sensor back in to your ecm to keep it thinking everything is fine, but I predict a lot of flashing dash lights.

No, I could install an r380, but I was wanting to go with something beefier like an nv4500. Even that I'm capable of, but its still a lot of effort.

Sadly, the turbo setup is being out on hold for a while too. Fundamental has been cut because of the prospect of a 72 Chevelle.

To be honest, I just glanced at it on my phone and haven't looked at it further than that yet.

com u shift makes a controller for 24 & 26'S.

it works with the LR TPS or theirs, you can adjust shift point, convert it to manual or semiautomatic, you can also adjust you converter lock up on the fly. you want a paddle shifter you can do that also

its about $1000

Yea, I was looking at that thing and Robert also mentioned it. It's interesting, but I wonder if it actually shifts harder like a true shift kit?

Throw a comp-u-shift on the trans, plop a carb on the 4.6, do away with all the OEM computers. Haha
Nah, wouldn't do that. We get bad enough mileage as it is.

these are electric not vacuum so it pretty much depend on where you set your shift points
