Default Shock Replacement Disco II w/OME 2" lift

Hello All,

I have a 2001 Disco II with a 2" OME lift on it. The rear shocks are in need of replacement. I have no complaints about the shock other than they seemed to have failed a little prematurely. This truck is a daily driver but makes it to the desert on occasion. Since this truck is relatively heavy and a majority of the driving is on the street I would prefer a stiffer shock for the stability.

Is an OME replacement the best bet or are there better options? I see Bilstein makes a shock for about the same money.

One other problem I have is I do not know what the specs (lengths, travel) are on the shocks that are on it to try to find a comparable replacement from another brand. I'm sure Rancho or the like makes a shock that will work but I have not been able to find a listed part for my truck with the lift. Do you guys any of that information or part numbers for other manufacturere that will work on my lifted truck?

Thanks!,
Dan

order this kit from Justin. Medium if you have stock loads or heavy duty if you have a winch bumber and steel rear bumper or carry heavy loads. this is the cheapest kit on the net for OME http://www.lucky8llc.com/Products.asp?ProductID=2152

Thanks but I already have the OME 2" kit.

I just need replacement rear shocks. Trying to find out if there is anything superior to OME.

Give the OME Nitrocharger line a shot, I just installed a set on my project 2000 D2, definitely rides firmer than the regular OME shocks. The Bilsteins are nice but will be too short for your 2" lift.
