Default Shock towers

Hey guys this might be a silly question but will getting heavy duty shock towers actually make a difference much? Mine are stock and pretty old so either way would replacing them help with anything and if so then what exactly?

I got the terrafirma heavy duty towers and love them
it made the disco feel more solid
my old ones were falling apart when I did my lift and I couldn’t find stock ones.

+1 on the Terrafirmas. It was a pretty easy installation; https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...e5/#post690204

Since you have to remove the shock towers to replace the shocks, it's a good opportunity to do the shocks at the same time.
And another +1 on the TerraFirmas, although I didn't use the HD ones. The standard ones look pretty beefy and I don't have any up-rated bits.

The only way it could possibly make a difference is if yours are broken or the mounts are loose.

I've pulled the towers from both of my trucks -- one at 175k miles and the other at 115k. In both cases the original ones were splitting at the base and starting to rust. The bases of them looked almost like layers of pastry opening up, as if the steel was laminated. Not severe enough to be an immediate cause for concern, but it made me happier to have something solid in there in their place.

Dirt Monkey Off-road is a UK company that has some bad *** beefy shock towers/turrets.

RTE's adjustable towers is what I have in my future, I like the idea to have the flexibility to be able to change the mounting point as my truck continues to evolve vs just buying the set raised or lowered terrafirma mounts. But that's only necessary if seriously off-roading.

RTE's arent really "necessary", but they look nice and are adjustable. I have them on my 110 project

I'm running the RTE ones cuz they came with the lift kit. They are holding up fine so far after a few off-roading trips. Ive put about about 10K miles on the suspension. All feels well so far...
