Short in dash when using blinker?

I thought his problem was being caused by the blinker fluid leaking in to the instrument panel and causing a short.

Damnit - I missed that, so what he really needz then is a can of Anti-Short!

No leak in the blinker fluid... I power washed the instrument panel last week and still no traces of blinker fluid, so I am cool there...

My trailer lights ground wire gets corroded all the time, once I cut it and re-ground it the trailer on the dash blinks.

Is there a difference between when the trailer is plugged in and not? I have not pulled a trailer with this truck yet...

The little trailer light on the dash blinks once when you use your turn signals and NO trailer is connected to the trucks wiring via a trailer wire harness.
When a trailer is connected to the truck with a trailer wire harness the little trailer on the dash will blink in unison with the trucks turn signals, it does this to let you know if your trailer lights are working or not.

so I do have a problem cause mine blinks in unison without trailer attached. Oh well, no biggie! Thanks for the detail Spike.

Yes, it is my understanding that if it continues to blink without a trailer attached you have a problem.

mine blinks and so doesnt everything else when i use my left directional
Ive replaced all kinds of fuses, checked my battery , had my alternator tested,
checked grounds, cant figure it out
