Should I sell it or trade it off?

A dealer wont sell it, they will ship it off to auction where it will wind up on a POS "Buy here pay here" car lot and some unsuspecting person will buy it because his girlfriend just had a baby and it is the only thing big enough in his price range and then the motor will let go and they will be back to taking the bus to the Health Department to get their kid immunizations and baby formula.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'm damned any way I go about it. I either pass the buck onto someone else or keep burning Benjamins.
Spike, my problem is that I'm overly **** about having things (at least cars and computers) work perfectly. I've spent $5k over the past two years getting not just the big things, but little things right. I did most of the work, myself, btw.
To be fair, a lot of the work was to correct PO neglect (brakes, fluids, 60k tune up at 50k). Some more was spent on goodies (bumper, winch, LR cargo and floor mats, and factory lamp guards all around). Still, there were issues like head gaskets, Amigos, wiper motor/switch and coil springs that an owner shouldn't have to deal with prior to 60k. Oh yeah...the PO replaced the oil pump at 48k. Bummer that I'm out of warranty time wise...
Granted, it does make sense financially to hang on to it. The cheapest fix seems to be buy a good low mileage 4.0 block and swap over my heads and crank. I'd probably shave the crank and replace all bearings+ gaskets, though. It's just in my nature to take care of things "while it's apart". So there's probably another $3K.
All in, I'd be out $22k in just over two years factoring the cost of the truck. I love it...I really do. But at some point one has to cut the chord.
BTW my Rover must be reading my mind. It developed a new quirk this week. I now have to jiggle the gear selector switch to get it to turn over. I replaced the XYZ switch last fall. Dunno if it the switch is going bad or if I need to adjust the linkage somehow.
I'm stuck with it until Spring, so I'll need to crawl underneath and take a looksie.

Doing things you never thought possible, bringing pain and joy to you all in the same day.
You could stray and get something "greener" from the otherside of the fence, but you know how to drive this one.
You know what she likes, and she you.
Things may sag with age, but you dont care.
She may leak, but thats ok.
Who will empty your wallet while your in the shower?
Who will you spend your bonus on and not even care?
There will be days when she wont even leave the house, but with a little TLC and a kiss she'll fire right up and you'll be on your way.
Who will warm you up when there is 4 ft of snow on the ground?
Who will keep you dry when it rains?
Who will give you the best ride of your life just when you thought the romance was over?
Yes, I am talking about your Rover.
