Hey team,

Hope all are well....
I have a question regarding fixing the side door lock behind the driver side.
The lock responds to the automated alarm feature but it won't stay locked.
The locking mechanism on the side of the door seems to be failing, meaning that when I manually try
to "click-back" the mechanism with my finger, it swings back into its "open" postion
leaving the door open and unable to latch.
Wondering whether this is an easy job or should i just take it to the dealer?
any help will be grateful.

There was a recall on just this situation. It involved modifing the door and/or replaceing the door latch. Do you know if it has been done ?
