also that only tc is disabled, despite the 3 lights..........so I can live with that.

Here is my very low budget CDL. I haven't cut the traction control wire yet. I only engaged it once last winter, but it make a world of difference in deep snow.

nice. simple is my chosen route, as well. .........i have 2 pieces of all thread a swivel joint and socket and nut, all welded together with a goofy little brass buddha sitting in front of my cig. lighter power outlet. the buddha is just to keep things classy and I couldn't find a hula girl made of anything but plastic.

Just for the heck of it I crawled under the Rover today and realized that my CDL actually will stop in 3 spots. Lying under looking back; clockwise bottom of wrench about 8 o'clock, back counter clockwise at about 6 and still counterclockwise at about 4. Does this sound right? Cdl light comes on only in the 8 o'clock position.

I'm not sure what that is, it is probably just in-between locked an unlocked. I would not recommend driving in that position.

It's been a few months so I could be wrong, but I think the nipple can go quite a bit past the Unlock position, and it feels like it's a position. But when the cable is adjusted correctly it can't go that far.

ok that makes sense. It does not "clunk" when it's at 4 o'clock. So basically it only moves a small amount from 8 o'clock ( in Cdl) and back to 6 o'clock ( normal driving) ?
I actually have it all the way over to the 4 o'clock position. thinking that's where it should be at. But in retrospect I remember when I pulled out the bad t-case I took off the Cdl housing to observe what it does and when you move the nut back and forth and it didn't do anything past 6 ...........back under to move
