Default Size of the bolts/nuts connecting the front shaft to the diff?

I looked for it, but I might have missed it. I want to take the front driveshaft off, but before I go down and jack the Disco up, I was wondering what size wrench and ratchet I need.

Thanks

~Aaron

I think that you will need a 14mm and 15mm socket. You may have to hold both ends closest to the front diff.

Thanks guys. I had to work the Graveyard shift last night, so I am too tired to mess with it right now. I'll get some sleep, and pull that driveshaft off today.

Depending on what shape that shaft is in (I haven't taken a super close look at it), you think it might be possible to rebuild it if it's not too badly damaged? Just a thought I had while I was mopping the floor at work tonight.

You could have answered your own question by just crawling under your truck like the rest of us do.

Oh thanks Mike. I'll make that decision based on my 6 days worth of knowledge on the Discovery. Maybe I should phrase it like this:

Is it safe to rebuild a driveshaft that has previously failed, no matter if the shaft looks damaged or not ?

That make any better sense?
