Default Slider install issue w/ ACE accelerometer

I was installing my TF sliders today. Drivers side went on fine without any interference issues. When I got to the passengers side, I went to put it over the sill to mark hole locations and discovered I have an interference issue. There is a sensor on the inside of the passenger sill in the area of the ACE block. I think it is the ACE accelerometer.
I have two options on how to deal with it:
1) drill out the rivets and relocate it onto the slider.
2) notch the silder

What should I do?

Does anyone know what size rivet LR uses?

I ended up relocating the ACE accelerometer to the slider. I used 3/16" x 1/2" alum rivets to secure it. I drilled thru the sill and slider for the rivet hole.

Now the amber ACE light is on. From doing some searching, a calibration of the accelerometer may solve the issue.

i think i would do the same thing, loosen the accelerometer leave it hang by the wires, mount the slider and re-install the accelermeter using self tapping screws.

My 99 had that sensor held on with a funky rivet. Drilled it off, mounted rock slider then really secured the sensor. My came on when I drove it. Had to use the Nanocom to clear the fault/calibrate it and it's never come back on.

Not really that yaw sensor is critical to how the ACE functions. If it's not calibrated correctly the ACE system could misread the readings from the sensor and cause a ram to activate incorrectly which could possibly cause an accident.

I deleted the fault codes with nancom. But they come back at once. Is the sensor broken, and I should buy a new one (I did accidently drop it on a concrete floor.)?
Or is it something else. From what I could find the sensor get earth from the yellow and green cable, so it shouldnt be the painted pop nails i used.

FYI the Rovers North sliders (their brand, they are very very good) have a notch and provision in them for this exact ACE sensor. I left the sensor as is, slider fits around it.
