Default Slider production feeler thread

Im gauging interested parties in some sliders for their trucks.

They'll be a little different than the ones I just built for my truck in that, there will be a C channel around the sills with the slider welded directly to it. All tubing is 3/16" mild steel, all plating is 3/16" as well, grade 8 zinc plated hardware, blended welds with optional out riggers to tie them into the frame.
Im gonna construct a couple of pairs and see what happens. If your interested in a set post here and if I get a enough interest then Ill put them into production.
Im not doing this to make money, I have a day job. Im doing this to offer a better and some what cheaper alternative to whats being offered currently.
This is my way of giving back. Can do customs too.

Shipping can be arranged via UPS or Greyhound

Coatings will be either paint, Raptor bed coating or Rustolium spray on bed coat.

Discovery 2 only ... because that's what I own and can build off of what I already know.

Thanks for looking.

Sounds like a pretty nice gesture. As a broke college student at the moment I can't be placing any orders, but hopefully on down the line you'll have some in production. I'd much rather buy from an actual D2 owner and enthusiast. After reading all the threads about people paying 1/5 cost of the rover and waiting weeks for some that are the wrong length and misaligned bolt holes, you may be the go to for D2 sliders.

I am in the market for some D2 sliders. I would be interested in seeing a picture or at least some drawings.

If I ever get mine to run reliably, sliders are my next to build. I'd also like to see some pics of what you're thinking of.

I wouldn't worry about tying it into the frame. Even if you did 3/16 for the c channel you'd really have to wail it to cause any real damage to the body. Mine I picked up with body damage already, so I didn't have to worry so much.

I like the idea of the out riggers though... if you think of it in this light. First, I like the idea of having something spanning the frame to the body that offers more horizontal protection from rocks getting up in where they shouldn't be. Also with mine and Ill post pictures on my build thread, Im gonna use the outriggers to tie in skid plates. Again with the idea of keeping rocks out of places they shouldn't be. Maybe over protection but better to be safe than sorry in my book.

I'm interested although pics and pricing would be my determining factor.

I'm interested in a set. They'll need tree bars so I can sell the idea for buying them as a step to make getting in easier. My wife drives the Discovery. Apparently, I managed to make it too high or something.
