Default SLS balancing

I was doing some measuring on my 01 Disco with SLS and I discovered that the distance from the (drivers side) left rear hub center to the bottom of the fender measures 19" and the (passenger side) right rear measures 18.5." Does anyone know if this is normal to have a half inch difference between the sides. I don't have a lift and I replaced the air springs in December, but the right side as always been just a little lower than the left. Any way to adjust that without going to the LR Dealer and having it hooked up to the "test book"?

i know this is going to sound dumb, but the springs on the driver side are taller than the passenger side, i dont know if the same holds true on the air bag adjustment. according to my RRC manual that is to account for the weight of the driver.

Drowssap,
That was somewhat in the back of my mind also, but in reading in the RAVE the leveling blocks are the same size for both sides and that the dealer sets the leveling using the "test book" with those blocks in place.

Being that there are sensors, I'd think they should be the same height. If the driver sagged the suspension too much the system would just level you back out. Of course on D2 it's only able to level the rear.

I don't know that I'd be concerned about half an inch difference though.

Someone with a nanocom licensed for D2 should be able to adjust it for you if it bothers you.

Something quite interesting I learned when ordering the new front springs was that the UK springs (RHD) are biased the driver side spring being slightly longer than the passenger side. However, this doesn't apply to the export (LHD) models where both springs are of equal length and spring rates. This seems illogical but checking with the supplier and LR it appears to be correct. Obviously, when I strip the old springs out I'll check the spring lengths to see whether there is or isn't any length differential. Hopefully the supplier and LR are right on this one.
