I am have removed the SLS air bags and linkage due to failure and replaced it with RTE springs and OME struts, my question is do I need to leave the compressor on the truck for any reason. Does anything other than the SLS run off of it.

Nope, take it off the truck and sell it on e-bay.

You might also have someone with a proper scanner go into your ECU and shut the system down so you don't get warning lights.
