Mine did the exact same thing, even the driver's side. I ended up using the silver rtv and it worked like a charm.. Marine 4200 or 5200 would probably work well, that was my next plan.

What about buying a custom all aluminum radiator that doesn't have the plastic ends?

(this one pictured is off a bronco and just for illustration)
