Default Smell of coolant, but no leak.

My 01 with 85k has a distinct coolant smell when i turn it off after running for a while. It's not super strong. Kind of comes as a wiff when i open the door and get out, but after that I can't ever seem to find it. There are no visible leaks anywhere, no steam. The reservoir is a little low, but doesn't seem to be draining too fast.
Just wondering if there are some usual suspects to check out?
Do local car stores rent a pressure tester that fits these things?

External leak on back of heads onto exhaust.
Throttle body heater.
Coolant pipe coming of off intake.

Pick one. Those are the ones you are not likely to see.

The intake looks nice and clean. I'll have to figure out the possible leak location by the exhaust to look harder. Are we just talking the rubber tubes to and from the heater core, or something else?

Pressure test the system, you will find the leak. Get one of these. They work well.

If it is leaking out the back of the head, what is it? Head gasket?

Yes. Absolute most common head gasket failure on these is slow weep from back or front of head. If this is the case, you have plenty of time to line up repair, but will need to be addressed.

But what do I know...it's prolly just a fuse.
