I think that I have that too. The valve cover is leaking, but not too much. I will get in there and see soon enough, but let us know if you get in and see something else.

Yeah I will get back to you on it when I know for certain. But after a recent look I can see where the mating surface between the cover and the block is wet, above the oil filter. I think that's where it's coming from. My leak isn't so bad but I plan to have it fixed by the end of the fall.

The toughest part of the bolt tightening job is finding a 1/4 inch drive, 12 point 8 mm socket. Once you track one down, hang on to it. Do not get a 3/8 inch drive, it won't work, too fat for the indent in the valve cover. You can ususally snug the two lower bolts on each side, which is good because the leaks generally come from the lower side. You might be able to get to one of the upper bolts, as I recall. Snug them often, spray your engine, top bottom, sides, front and back, with simple green and then a quick rinse with the hose and life is good again. Few things are as good as working on a clean engine. Good luck. Phil

What does v/c mean and where are they located? Thanks for your help in advance.

v/c refers to the valve covers. I know the rave manual is a bit dense but you can open it in the Adobe PDF reader and use the search function. There are diagrams and detailed descriptions there. I wouldn't recommend tinkering around in the engine compartment without checking the RAVE and following it closely if you don't know where the valve covers are. All of this is stuff that anyone can do, but without a general knowledge of what does what, you could end up accidentally unplugging something/leaning on something critical and end up up a creek.
